The Long Island Radio Group invites students, age 17 & older, to apply to be an intern!
All intern positions are unpaid; however, school credit can be awarded in return for your hard work.

Here's what you can learn as an intern!
| PRODUCTION Learn hands-on how to create and edit audio for radio! At the end of the internship, all interns will be able to make a commercial, from scratch, that may air on the station. |
PROMOTIONS Learn hands-on how the station communicates with its listeners! Help organize on-air contesting, on-site promotions, and other public relation tasks to help gain more listeners! |
PROGRAMMING Students can work one-on-one with a Program Director or on-air DJ! Learn how the music is picked, and how the DJ decides what he or she is going to say next! |
SALES Students can work one-on-one with a Sales Manager or Account Executive! Learn how a sale is made in the radio industry from cold-calling to writing the script that will be used in an on-air spot! |
WEBSITES Students can learn hands-on about how our websites are maintained, and learn about basic HTML, Photoshop, and other website-related information. |
To be an intern,
you must be able to follow these minimum participation requirements:

Students in High School during the School Year:
Minimum 5 hours per week of in-office work
(usually over 2 days Monday-Friday)
PLUS one out-of-office event (usually 3 hours, Saturday or Sunday)
PER WEEK!!!
