INSURANCE: Steps To Take, if your home has been damaged:
- Call your insurance broker or company to report the claim
- Photograph the damage (only if it is SAFE to do so)
- Make a detailed list of the damage, in as much detail as possible
- Check your policy for deductibles and/or exceptions
- If you have a separate flood insurance policy, you will need to file a separate claim
