"A bottle of red...a bottle of white..."  ...but not for much longer.

Newsday reports that Christiano's Italian Restaurant, at 19 Ira Road, Syosset - believed to be the inspiration for Billy Joel's "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant," is set to close, and be re-invented.

Singh Hospitality Group, which now owns Christiano's, working with chef-restauranteur Tom Schaudel (of Jewel in Melville and Coolfish in Syosset), will soon create a new concept, and open under a new name.
