Tips to Start Your Diet
1/16/2013
Are you struggling to start your New Year's Diet? Well, here are 5 tips to get you started!
1- Set a Goal. It’s hard to lose weight! Setting a goal allows you to celebrate the little victories on your way to your ideal weight. Remember, don’t set one large goal. Set various “Mini” goals. Making a goal every week will reinforce that you are on your way to accomplishment.
2- Put food away. Don’t leave tempting food out on the counter. The saying “out of sight, out of mind” is true. If you don’t see it, you’ll be less likely to snack on it.
3- Allow yourself a snack! You can eat your favorite foods as long as you use portion control. Measure your ice cream to the actual serving size.
4- Stay Realistic. Don’t set goals that are unattainable. You’ll find that setting an unrealistic goal will make you negative! If you’ve never been 150 pounds than maybe you shouldn’t strive for that right off the bat!
5- Do more activities! I don’t only mean exercise. You should start a hobby, join a club, or take a walk. It will keep you away from food. Sometimes, we snack out of pure boredom! Get out of the house and enjoy life!
