How Late is Late?
You're supposed to be somewhere at 1:00. You get there at 1:05. Is that okay? Sure, you should have arrived at 12:55, but with Long Island traffic, how could you?
A new survey by Timex asked people how late you can be, in different situations...and still not be considered late.
WORK: As long as you're less than 4 minutes late, you can get away with it.
FIRST DATE: Anything under 4 1/2 minutes late isn't considered late.
INTERVIEW: They're really judging you, so you shouldn't be more than 2 minutes late.
FAMILY EVENT: The average person says your mother won't be upset as long as you get there with 13 1/2 minutes of the starting time.
Do you always try to show-up on-time, or are you habitually late?
