Ask the Foot Care Experts a question below!

Here is some expert advice!

Corrie from Bellmore asks... Looking for a practice that performs the tightrope bunion correction procedure.
Yes, we offer it! We need to first evaluate if you are the appropriate candidate for this procedure, so please call us at 516-826-0103 and make an appointment. Thanks again!

Gabriela from Elmont asks... Do you accept united health care?

Yes!

Joseph from Freeport asks... In the late 80's, I had my big toe nails removed because of in grown toenails. The Dr. also said he would fix it so the nails wouldn't grow back. Any way to reverse this so the nails grow?
There are many ways to fix ingrown toenails. If a permanent matrixectomy was performed (removal of the growth center of the nail) then a new nail will not grow. Often only a section of the nail is removed and not the total nail. However there may be things worth trying. If you would like to come in and explore your options that would be great.

Thanks again.  -Dr. Douglas Livingston

Tony from Bay Shore asks... I have drop foot on my right leg and a recurring ganglion on the left.. Can you help these conditions?
Yes, both conditions can be treated very effectively. Ganglionic cysts can often be treated conservatively with needle aspiration. If the ganglionic cyst continues to be symptomatic, surgical excision may be required. As far as the drop foot condition, again there are non-surgical as well as surgical treatments - this condition can be effectively treated conservatively with braces that are meant for just this condition. These conditions are very treatable and we will be able to help you and hopefully provide immediate help and relief.

We would be glad to assist you anyway possible. Please give me (Dr. Douglas Livingston) a call at 516.826.0103.
