Spring is a great time to get your family together for fun outside…how about a scavenger hunt?
Sure, you'll need to drag some of your kids away from their video game and convince them that this is actually better than Super Mario but it's worth it!
With the proper planning, your clues will create a family memory that will last a lifetime. I used to make up maps for my now 16 year old daughter that would take us together around the block. She was 6 then and still remembers it.
Place a prize at the end of the scavenger hunt too! Just be sure to make sure that all clues are safe for everyone's age. Map out and walk the route to ensure you have the clues pointed to the correct locations and to time how long the hunt takes to complete.
It's also a good idea to work backward. Start at the end of the scavenger hunt -- by leaving a prize -- and then select the next to last location and so on.
Now, stop reading this and get creative!
