A public memorial to honor Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday. Kobe’s wife, Vanessa, spoke about her husband and daughter. Michael Jordan and Jimmy Kimmel were among others who spoke. Beyonce opened the ceremony by singing “Halo” and “XO.” Christina Aguilera sang “Ave Maria” and Alicia Keys performed a Beethoven piano piece beloved by Kobe and Vanessa.
