New York State Parks announced a number of parks will remain open late August 12th and 13th for star gazers to view the Perseids meteor shower, including Jones Beach, Sunken Meadow State Park, and others out east. There is no cost and no permit required. If you look northeast and keep your area as dark as possible and phones off, you’ll be treated to quite the show!
