Prosecutors say they’re ready to go to trial in the case of alleged Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann for the murders of seven women. In a new court filing, they confirmed all evidence — including a 723-page inventory — has been handed to the defense. Heuermann, 62, has pleaded not guilty. The killings span from 1993 to 2010, with victims found near Gilgo Beach. The defense wants separate trials and is again challenging the DNA evidence. Heuermann returns to court next week, when a trial date may be set.
