Suffolk police say a man is under arrest after an attempted kidnapping a 4-year-old boy at a Bay Shore mosque. Investigators say the suspect lead the boy away from a prayer service Wednesday night and took him to a basement kitchen and barricaded the door. A worshiper who saw what was happening quickly alerted the child’s grandmother. Police say the boy was not hurt. The suspect is charged with attempted kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child.
