Smoke Detector Recall

About 226,000 Kidde alarms are being recalled for failure to alert consumers to a fire. The recalled units are Kidde Model Series 2040, 2050, 2060, and 2070 Smoke and Combination Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarms that were sold at Walmart, Home Depot, and various other retailers – including Amazon.com. The model number can be found on printed on the back of the alarm. Only alarms with the TruSense logo or “AMBER=FAULT” printed on the front are included in this recall. If you have one of these alarms, you should immediately contact Kidde for a replacement. DO NOT take down the old alarm until you receive the replacement. For more details, click HERE.
