COVID-19 vaccines available for infants and toddlers

East Farmingdale, NY- After getting approved over the weekend by the Centers for Disease Control, COVID 19 vaccines for children as young as 6 months old, began yesterday.  Roughly 18 million chidren under the age of 5 are now eligible. Allied Physicians Group sent a notice to Long Island parents recommending the vaccines saying, “that 442 infants and children in this age group, have died (from COVID-19) since the pandemic began”.  For the little kids, Pfizer’s vaccine is three shots and Moderna’s vaccine is two shots.  Vaccines are available at select pediatricians offices and national pharmacies including Walgreens and CVS.
