Long Island braces for potential heatwave

East Farmingdale, NY- After wild weather on Monday including soaking rain, flash flooding and thunder the weather Tuesday across Long Island, should reach into the upper 80’s and 90’s. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory in effect for Wednesday from 12pm-8pm, where temperatures could feel, close to 100 degrees.  In Nassau County, cooling centers will be open.
