Heatwave continues, strong storms possible

East Farmingdale, NY- A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of Long Island through 6pm Monday. WALK-FM Chief Meteorologist Pat Pagano says a cold front will move through the region Monday afternoon and strong storms are possible. The National Weather Service says Monday’s storms could bring damaging winds, hail and even a possible tornado.

The National Weather Service has warned of “extremely oppressive” conditions from Washington to Boston. Forecasters urge people to wear light clothing, drink lots of water, limit their time outside, and check on elderly people and pets.
