State of Disaster Emergency declared over monkeypox outbreak

East Farmingdale, NY -New York State Governor Kathy Hochul issued an executive order declaring a State of Disaster Emergency in response to the ongoing monkeypox outbreak.  The Executive Order will help enable the state to respond to the outbreak and allows health care professionals to get vaccinated. Monkeypox can be spread through close physical contact, respiratory droplets and shared objects or fabrics.
