Babylon, NY- Five people were injured on Friday after a boat exploded off the shore of Long Island. Suffolk County Police say six men were on a boat in a canal near Shore Road in Babylon Village when the boat exploded, injuring five of the six passenger. One passenger was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Four other men were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Police say Arson Squad detectives are investigating the cause of the explosion. No arrests have been made at this time.
