Nassau Police arrested a Freeport man for DUI in a fatal crash on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa Park on Sunday.
Authorities say the man was traveling westbound and crossed over to the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a another vehicle, A 24-year-old male passenger of the car that was hit was pronounced dead on the scene. The 28-year-old male driver was taken to the hospital for a leg and hip injury.
The Suspect was transported to the hospital in critical condition. He faces several charges, including DUI and vehicular manslaughter. He will be arraigned in court when medically able.
