Hofstra routs William & Mary 94-46 in Colonial quarterfinal, Charleston defeats Stony Brook 74-52

WASHINGTON (AP) — Aaron Estrada had 22 points and 10 rebounds, Tyler Thomas also scored 22, and Hofstra routed William & Mary 94-46 on Sunday in the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament quarterfinals.

Thomas made 9 of 11 shots, including 4 for 5 from beyond the arc. Jaquan Carlos had three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points. The Pride (24-8) picked up their 11th straight victory.

The Tribe (13-20) were led by Anders Nelson, who recorded 15 points. Chris Mullins added nine points, six rebounds and three steals for William & Mary.

Hofstra led 51-14 at halftime, with Estrada racking up 14 points. Hofstra extended its lead to 86-35 during the second half, fueled by a 20-2 scoring run. Thomas scored a team-high 10 points in the second half.

Charleston (SC) defeats Stony Brook 74-52in CAA quarters

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ante Brzovic had 15 points in College of Charleston’s 74-52 victory against Stony Brook on Sunday night in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament.

Brzovic added seven rebounds for the Cougars (29-3). Dalton Bolon scored 12 points and added eight rebounds. Ryan Larson recorded 11 points and was 4-of-9 shooting (3 for 6 from distance). It was the eighth win in a row for the Cougars.

Keenan Fitzmorris finished with 18 points for the Seawolves (11-22). Toby Onyekonwu added 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists for Stony Brook. Tyler Stephenson-Moore also recorded nine points and four assists.

Charleston took the lead with 19:37 left in the first half and never looked back. The score was 42-26 at halftime, with Reyne Smith racking up 10 points. Charleston outscored Stony Brook by six points over the final half, while Brzovic led the way with a team-high 13 second-half points.
