New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day parade is today

New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day parade returns Friday, marching up Fifth Avenue for the 262nd time in its history.
The parade starts at 11 a.m. and runs until about 4:30 p.m. The route begins on Fifth Avenue at 44th Street and ends on Fifth uptown at 79th Street. NBC 4 will be broadcasting the parade.

The LIRR is running 10 extra trains on Friday, March 17 to make travel to and from the St. Patrick’s Day Parade easier.
