West Hempstead school budget passes, Wainscott budget fails

Voters in West Hempstead and Wainscott voted on Tuesday for a school budget re-vote.
The two districts were the only ones on Long Island that failed to pass the first time around last month.
The West Hempstead ballot passed but the Wainscott budget failed again when it didn’t get the 60% supermajority needed to pass.
