Grand jury charges to be unsealed at Wednesday arraignment for chokehold case

The grand jury charges against Daniel Penny will be unsealed today at his arraignment.
He is accused in the subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely in May.
Penny had initially been charged with manslaughter in the second degree, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison, but a grand jury’s approval of charges is needed for the case to continue.
