It was the rumored moment we’ve been waiting for: *NSYNC reunited at the MTV Video Music Awards! They didn’t perform, but they did present the award for Best Pop to Taylor Swift.

That was Taylor’s first of NINE awards she would win at the VMAs, more than any other nominee. She also took home the awards for Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Show of the Summer (Eras Tour, ya think?), Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects. This makes her the first artist to win Video of the Year two years in a row (winning for “Anti-Hero” this year and “All Too Well: The Short Film” last year), and it extends her record for most wins in that category from four to five total.

So why did *NSYNC choose to show up to the VMAs for the first time in ten years? There have been whispers of a reunion tour in the works. There’s also a rumor that they recorded a new song together for the soundtrack to “Trolls 3: Trolls World Tour” soundtrack, which hits theaters November 17th.
