A Brooklyn man who worked at the United States Postal Service in Suffolk County was arrested for stealing and depositing checks from the mail.
The USPS’s Office of Inspector General launched a probe in last year with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.
The joint operation found the suspect stole checks worth over $6,000 and remotely deposited them into his bank account while he was employed as a mailman.
He is due back in court on June 20.
