The state Public Service Commission on Thursday unanimously approved a three-year rate hike that will allow National Grid to raise average residential natural gas bills starting next month. The new prices will be phased in over three years.
In year one, the average bill will increase by about $33 per month. In year two, another $8 per month will be added and in year three, the bill will go up by another $19 per month. In total, the average bill will increase by about $60 per month by September 2026.
